Our Staff Members
Eve is made up of staff members who are the governing body that represents and manages the interests of the organization according to the decisions and directives of the Eve organization. It is composed of the executive director, one Program assistant, a program coordinator and a program manager .
Rita Martin is the Executive Director and Co-founder of Eve Organization for Women Development in Juba - South Sudan. EVE was established to help improve women’s participation in decision-making, reconciliation, peace building and conflict resolution in South Sudan through knowledge transfer, professional development and capacity building. Rita is vocal on human rights abuses and especially on sexual and gender based violence, space creation for South Sudanese women, development of South Sudan national action plan and operalization of UNSCR 1325 and also key in fronting gender sensitive legislations. She has organized conferences, workshops and seminars to encourage women’s education, and to promote a realistic dialogue to address the current conflict. Eva W. Kiongo is a Program Assistant in Eve Organization for Women Development. She has vast experience working with women in different states in South Sudan. Eva ensures that rural women had the opportunity to make their voices heard and had implemented programs on SGBV, livelihood programs including the implementation of the UNSCR 1325 in South Sudan. Eva also took lead in rallying the women of South Sudan to actively call for peace. She has closely worked with our partner Organizations from the different states in organizing capacity building trainings for EVE’s partners. Ms. Mary Kamilo is the Program Coordinator of EVE Organization for Women Development in Juba – South Sudan. Apart from coordinating the different projects of the Organization; Mary is also the Organization’s focal person in the Steering Committee for the development of the South Sudan UNSCR 1325 National Action Plan (NAP). She had been tirelessly working closely with the Ministry of Gender and coordinating with other government institutions in the process of the development of the NAP. Mary has extensively traveled in the different states meeting with state authorities, coordinating and facilitating trainings on the UNSCR 1325 and related resolutions. Ms. Catherine Pita Marko is the Program Manager of Eve Organization for Women Development in Juba – South Sudan. Apart from managing the programs of the Organization, Catherine has demonstrated a strong commitment to UNSCR 1325 that seeks to stress the importance of women in peace processes as well as decision-making in South Sudan. Due to her relentless commitment to this mandate, She had been on the forefront with the South Sudan Women Platform for Peace, which is actively involved in the South Sudan peace process. Florence Noka is the Admin and finance Assistant of EVE Organization for women Development. Apart from the day-to-day active admin/finance role she is playing; Florence is a strong activist around prevention of Sexual and gender based violence and young women leadership. Ms. Gloria Nyoka is the Project and finance controller and is also a founding member of EVE Organization. - While controlling the finances of the organization; Gloria has an expertise in Non Violence and alternatives to non-violence programs in South Sudan. Gloria facilitated a number of trainings and workshops around this project. She is committed and passionate about young women leadership as well as women economic empowerment in South Sudan.
