On 10 November 2025, the Leaders of Peace Consortium (LOP) convened at the EVE Organization’s meeting hall for a high-level presentation of the consortium’s key outcomes from its five-year project.

The meeting brought together representatives from all partner organizations, including Plan International (technical lead), EVE, AMA, HealthNet, and PAX, who collectively reflected on the transformative impact of their joint efforts across South Sudan.

Speaking during the session, Jet Bastiani, the LOP Coordinator in Netherlands, emphasized the importance of charting a clear path forward since the project has officially concluded. She applauded the consortium for its dedication and resilience over the years, acknowledging the significant progress made in advancing peace, community resilience, and social cohesion in the country.

Batiana highlighted her commitment to championing and sharing the project’s outcomes with other potential donors, noting that the successes achieved offer strong evidence of what coordinated action can accomplish. She encouraged partners to maintain the teamwork, transparency, and collaboration that defined the project’s implementation.

Expressing optimism for the future, she urged the consortium to proactively showcase their achievements to wider audiences across social media. Such visibility, she noted, is essential for attracting new funding from donors whose priorities align with peacebuilding and community development in South Sudan.

Batiana also emphasized the competitive nature of securing donor funding but encouraged the team to remain strategic. She advised the consortium members to pursue upcoming funding calls with strong, well-developed proposals that clearly demonstrate their impact and vision.

The meeting concluded with reflections from all partners on the sustainability of the initiatives launched during the five years and a renewed commitment to building on the foundations laid by the Leaders of Peace project. As the consortium looks to the future, the spirit of collaboration remains central to advancing long-term peace and development across South Sudan.
